MAFWA THEATRE

Associate Artist with Mafwa Theatre: a group of women from refugee, asylum seeker and settled Leeds communities who use drama, voice and movement to build resilient communities.

To & Fro (2019) is a moving-image work exploring the journeys we make. This film accompanied a performance and exhibition by Mafwa Theatre that toured the UK with Journeys Festival International. A Picnic, Together (2020) is a documentary work exploring recipes and the women's experiences of community during the Covid-19 summer lockdown.
