Holdings explores our relationship with birds as objects to be held and beings to be cared for. Practices that may at first appear violent, yet are rooted in care; practices that sustain care in the aftermath of brutality. Visuals balance bird ringing in Elthorne Park, specimens from the Philip Henry Gosse collection at Liverpool World Museum and archival footage. Shot on 16mm.
